Reporter, editor, stay-at-home-mother, teacher, tutor--wow, this is like an obituary. Married Peggy Powers' brother, Bill. Hopped around at first with his career--Michigan, Ohio, Connecticut, and then Georgia where we've lived for 28 years. Three kids--a stuntman, physician assistant and phone app developer. Go figure. Bill's retired from marketing and cooks creatively. My long-delayed career--teaching kids to write--is going gangbusters which is why I won't be with you for reunion. I wish I lived closer. Write, email, phone--I'd love to hear from you.

It's been a long journey. I look forward to reconnecting with old friends and establishing some newer friendships that may not have materialized in High School.

It seems that retirement gets busier all the time. I still do a little consulting, sit on 3 nonprofit boards, and best of all, our 4 grandchildren live close by in New Orleans. We're blessed.

I went to the College of New Rochelle and got a degree in Math. (Would have thought it would be easy to get a job with that degree but no.) I ended up traveling for a summer and started as a Programmer Trainee at Prudential Insurance in Newark, NJ the following spring. From there I started working for Sperry and Hutchinson Co. (S and H Green Stamps!) in NYC. After 17 years at S and H I got a golden handshake. After that I stayed home for a couple of years and was a parent advocate for the Committee on Special Education. This is when I started my next career in education. (It was inevitable that heredity catch up with me. My mother, father, 2 older sisters and my husband were all teachers!) I got a job in White Plains teaching programming and Database design at the Chubb Institute. Went back to school and got a master’s degree in internet business systems. Started teaching college courses at 3 different local colleges. Gradually moved to all on line teaching. Taught my last course last spring.Met my husband at a party (One of the women I roomed with worked with him.) We have been married for the last 41 years. We had 3 kids and bought a 100 year old house in Pleasantville NY. Our kids and grandkids: Deb is an art therapist in a school in Harlem, Jackie is an NP married and lives in Vestal NY and has 3 year old twins! Tim is working for the engineering company that is building the new Tappan Zee Bridge. We come to Albany a few times a year to visit one of my sisters and 2 of my brothers. Looking forward to catching up. Ann McKeon Brass |

I want to thank the Reunion Committee for inviting me. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone, which I basically feel I grew up with from VICCD 8th grade class through my VI HS junior year, after which I had to move away to Syracuse. You all still look 17 in my mind (well at least I still do, haha); so aside from those I Facebook & Message with, it's a regular yearbook reference check on someone being discussed with Karl Finkell and Joe Hein or seeing their pix. Great job by the Committee!

![]() ![]() I think I've had many eras of my life (my current wife says "errors") and I'm excited to talk to you all sometime between Friday and Monday and beyond. I did some Syracuse U, the Army in Korea, became a hippie and worked at CDPC/ Unity House, went to school in Texas (78-89-got a few degrees), Albany Med, Philadelphia (91-94), Albany Med Family Practice, Capt Dist DDSO, our son Will (97) who is now a Soph, paying back my student loans with Soc Sec, retiring and coming back the next day. My wife's favorite job is animal rehab-she's helped over 100 animals in the last 15 years. Lastly, I am privileged to go to Central Kenya (Maasai/Samburu Tribes) once or twice a year to work with very wonderful people who have next to nothing. I am a self appointed Emzay. See you in October |

Looking forward to a lot of great fun and seeing people whom I haven't seen in many, many years. Saddened that some of our classmates have passed on. The Reunion Committee is a lot of fun if you would care to get involved. My wife, Lea Campion, was Class of '66 and they had a great time.Because I stayed in Albany I see a lot of folks we went to VI with on a regular basis but it will be nice to see those who moved away. |

My life has changed quite a bit since our last reunion. Sadly, my husband passed away quite suddenly in June 2018. We had been together for 50 years. Happily, my daughter and my delightful son-in-law got married in 2019 and now have two childern. My grandson is 3 and looks very much like my husband when he was a child. My grandaughter will be 2 shortly and looks very much like my daughter did when she was a child (those Covell genes are very strong).Looking forward to seeing everyone come October. Seems like only yesterday we were celebrating our 50th reunion. |
